STYLE Dresses are Sadie's favorite option of clothing. She can pair them with leggings, tights, etc. to help keep her warmer if it should be cooler out, but not only that, it's quite easy to get away with turning into a mermaid when wearing a dress rather than pants. Like her twin - though she isn't sure - Sadie loves being able to vary her clothing, and can be labeled as a girly-girl one day to a tomboy type the next. She isn't too picky as long as she feels comfortable and looks good. This girl loves her accessories too, even if they tend to be more like the boho and watery-types, she likes her colors of blues and purples too, like her purple and green tail and fins.

This girl - even if she won't admit it when she actually finds out - is a lot like her younger twin sister, Sara. Sadie is quite sweet to everyone she meets, as she doesn't really have much of a problem with anyone. Being a practicing Buddhist, Sadie doesn't believe in violence either - at all. She thinks it's highly unnecessary, except for maybe a slap across someone's face if they did something horrible - like cheat on her. Either way, Sadie also isn't one to judge people, she's quite laid-back about life and such and therefore is always willing to get to know someone before she makes a judgment about their personality. She does tend to take people at face value once in awhile, but most of the time she's too eager and excited looking around to see what the surface world has to offer as she was raised under the ocean, Sadie's still getting used to the fact that she doesn't need to worry about a current taking her anywhere by surprise, just the wind blowing her hair around. She can be a bit naive to some things, but since she had that pregnancy scare with a human about 4 years ago, she's been introduced to the harsh world since.

Sadie, unlike Sara, knows what sarcasm is. She can use it and will only use it though if she's with people she knows well and they know her. If they don't know her well she tends to keep it drawn back to make sure that she isn't a witch - which Sadie doubts she could ever be unless someone hurt her, her adopted younger sister Ngun, or her twin sister she found out she had about a year ago to this very month. Sadie is attending college here on land and wants to become an actress, which she's landed some parts in local commercials now, while she's doing modeling as well to pay her way through college, Sadie's also singing once in awhile too, living the dream with her arts, but plans to only minor in acting or drama, with a major in education. She does care about the future, and maybe even wants to become a teacher, as she loves kids, and taught her younger adopted sister, Ngun how to speak English.

It was a secret their parents had sworn to take to their own respective graves. A secret they didn't want either of their daughters to find out about. They were twins. Sadie was born first out of Veronica and Kyle's relationship, and about 3 minutes later, Sara was born. Kyle and Veronica did raise the two girls together for awhile, even being teen parents they still stuck up for their daughters and themselves, even if Veronica's parents weren't very approving of the whole ordeal, they did offer the matching pearl necklaces to the two daughters. Veronica being a year younger than Kyle, confessed to him when the girls were about a year old, that she must leave. She had to or face consequences. Kyle, shattered had them "sign" a covenant, to never tell either of the girls, at least till they thought they would be ready to know they were twins. So, they separated them, and Veronica got Sadie while Kyle got Sara. They were separated from being best friends, twin sisters when they were about three years old, and their parents spent the rest of their growing childhood years to make them think they were an only child.

Sadie grew up as a mermaid off the coast of Virginia for awhile with her mother, who would take her to her classes everyday in the city there under water, and when Sadie turned 9, Veronica had her think about going up on land for middle school possibly, to test it out. Sadie wasn't sure what to think. She didn't want to really get out of the water, as everything she heard about the surface world always seemed so hostile and angry towards everything. The young girl refused for the time being, and instead focused on her studies and her explorations. In the ocean growing up, Sadie got to learn a lot of things about the ocean Sara's learning about now. The tricks to how to make a shark leave you alone, or how to avoid being stung by a jellyfish when swimming around, though probably being a mermaid helped that out quite a bit. Sadie turned 10 when she met her later-on boyfriend, Erick. Erick had moved with his parents from another town down near Florida up to here, and they became best of friends. Sadie absolutely adored him from day one, and the two of them became inseparable. They shared secrets, stories and always went to their classes together, even if Veronica wasn't a big fan of his parents for some reason, Erick was the one who pointed out to Sadie when they were 12, that the type of pearl she had, always came in pairs, hinting at what had happened when she was born, and what she was missing. Sadie, knowing she felt something, a small weird part of her missing didn't think too much of it then, but just asked her mother about her father.

Veronica, that very same day, admitted that she had been seeing someone, a man named Orion whom she seemed to like very much. Sadie was partially happy for her mom, but pressed on to know more about this pearl that Erick had told her about. Veronica lied - unknown to Sadie - saying that Erick had lied, only because his family was a bunch of liars. Why did she say that? Because Erick had been taken from a mermaid family that had moved onto land, and raised by his "parents" under the water's surface. Horrified, Sadie confronted her best friend's parents, who were appalled and told the young girl to not get involved in parental issues, and to just stay out of it, but that they were Erick's parents and loved him very much. Needless to say, Veronica had told Sadie the truth, but they were Erick's relatives - his aunt and uncle because his parents had wanted him to grow up down here. Either way, Sadie didn't tell Erick due to their wishes, but instead focused on her friendship with him. They did date for awhile, but then came Sadie's first time up on land, with her own pair of legs she had been so excited about.

Her mom's fiancee at the time, Orion had a boat that he told to Sadie she could use when-ever she wanted to go onto the surface land. Thankfully by this time, Sadie and Veronica had moved to their most recent place off the coast of Spain, and therefore, Sadie knew not only English, but also Spanish and even some phrases and quite a bit in Italian too. Either way, Sadie then did get onto the boat using the ropes her step-father had strategically placed for mermaids to get up onto the yacht easily and dry themselves off. Sadie couldn't believe it, when her tail and her fins she'd known her whole life, when she was 16, faded and vanished, giving way to a pair of legs, with ten toes. She spent a good hour just poking her legs and toying with her toes. Needless to say, the mermaid did stand up wobbly on her legs, and clutched the sides of the boat, as she slid on the dress that was on board she had allowed to dry for the day she wanted to go. A party was going on in Valencia, and she wanted to see what was going on. Meet actual humans! Excitement coursed through her as she parked the boat and tied it up, heading into the city - barefoot. She quickly made up an excuse though and then happened upon a young Leonardo. He was a Valenciano and spoke both Castellano, so Sadie could easily communicate with him. Needless to say they spent the whole day together, and she swore she was in love. They continued to date, her claiming she lived outside of Valencia - which she did - therefore she traveled to see him every day - which she did.

Sadie hated the lies, and when she told Veronica and her step-father Orion about Leonardo, or Leo, they were hesitant. Their mermaid daughter seeing a human? They weren't too entirely sure, but let it continue anyway. Sadie and Leo saw each other and were together for about a year and a half before they slept together. Sadie had spent the night at a human "friend's" house, when she was really with Leo. They had done it out of love, and continued to stay together. Then, Sadie's worst fear came true, as she and Leo hadn't used protection - she was late. Fear consumed the mermaid and she vanished from Leo for a few days while she returned to her watery home, trying to figure things out. Horrified and not wanting her parents to know, she returned to the city and got a pregnancy test, crying her eyes out for the two minutes it took the stupid thing to read it in the public bathroom at the pharmacy. Luckily the woman working didn't bother her, as Sadie was probably loud enough she could be hard through the walls. She immediately called Leo and told him there was no baby, they were safe, but they would be safe from now on. He understood. The 17 and 18-year-old vowed they wouldn't have sex till both of them were ready - which probably meant they got married to either each other or who-ever.

Course Sadie soon began to live on land just as much as she did in the water, and soon asked her mother about moving on land when she was 19 to stay with Leo. Her mother said no. Simple. Her daughter had been raised a mermaid and would stay that way. Peeved as she was, Sadie ran to Leo's house and remained with him and his lovely family for about two weeks before she returned home only to get the silent treatment from her mother for about three days before her mother broke, telling her daughter she was banned from going on land again - and had a "guard" hired to make sure that Sadie couldn't do it, and they sold the boat that she had been using to change in and out of her mermaid form. Sadie cried for days, and went to the beach frequently at night, but one night while she was swimming back home late, a fisherman was out and fishing when no one else was so he could get more fish. She didn't see the net till it was too late. He started to pull the net in, and her fins got caught. Squirming underneath the water, mermaids are powerful beings, and Sadie was no different, as she thrashed, he believed he'd caught a dolphin or a big fish, and he continued to pull the boat and net along, wanting to see what it was exactly. Working herself to hide in the bunch of fish he had, Sadie did manage to stay mostly hidden, till she was able to slip out of the net and glide back into the water with a splash. She dove down deep, as he put on a search light into the water, piercing through a good 10 feet of it. But she was gone, and narrowly avoided having someone discover a mermaid.

Sadie refused to go near the surface, and left Leo wondering where she was. She still thinks about him sometimes, what he's up to, if he's moved on. Since then, she's remained under the surface till about a year or so ago, when she found out by her mother, Veronica, that Sadie has a younger twin sister - Sara Michaels. She was a mermaid too and had been raised as a human, though now probably knew she was a mermaid. Getting a general region of the States her twin might be in, Sadie flocked to here, coming in disguise as a student from Valencia, Spain in order to get papers and such and has since managed to become a U.S. citizen due to her paperwork that was forged, she was born in Valencia, Spain to American parents on vacation - which was true in a way, just that mermaids didn't have this type of system in their government. Sadie entered the college here, and has noticed that sometimes her pearl gets hot, as if the other pearl her twin might be wearing gets closer. In reality, it's true. The closer they get, the warmer the pearl gets, and gives off a soft glow, stronger as they get nearer till they physically touch skin-to-skin in a hug or the pearls will they stop glowing, knowing they found each other. Sadie knows she's here, and knows she might be able to find her soon.
