Waving to the driver she slowly started to fix her appearance , reapplying her make up. Making sure that nothing with was with her looks as the car took her to their destination. Noelle had a interesting arrival so far ,everything was much more lively then she expected it to be. No matter though, she had a goal in mind to night. Find a good meal and possible girls to bring home too, this was not going to be a waste of a night if Noelle had anything to say about it. Feeling the car stopped a soft sigh escaped her lips, she hated traffic as much as she knew she could probably move faster without being in one. The thought of actually having to do it herself at the moment was laughable. Now Noelle knew she was anything but lazy, just at the moment she did not feel like doing anything, instead she wanted things done for her. Was that so much a stretch , hearing her phone beep, she glance down and slide it to show. Smirking at the message she could not help but laugh softly out loud. It seemed like Katherine was wondering how things were going. Of course her sire was curious , even though Noelle was free from her in a sense , that did not mean Katherine wouldn't check in.
Noelle and her had a interesting relationship over the years, it was a dark seductive one. Noelle still could learn things from Katerine but that did not mean she wanted to welcome her with open arms again. Clearing her throat she called the driver. " Now I now traffic is not that bad , can we please get there before the sun rises at least. I mean I do have things I want to do. And I am sure you would like to get home to your family yes. " Her words crisp and stern at the end. Noelle had no use for people who could no do their job, hell with the world the way it was she probably could have a new driver by the night sunset. She liked her driver but really how hard was it to drive to a place in a reasonable amount of time. Sliding her phone away again, leaving the message unanswered , fingers slowly rubbing her head as stress was starting to form. This was not going well at all and it seemed like going out tonight was becoming much more of a bother then Noelle originally planned.
About to tell the driver to turn around she caught the site of the club from the passenger window. Pursing her lips together letting out a soft hum she slowly waited for her door to open. As her heels hit the cold ground beneath her feet, she couldn't help but feel amused at the whispers surrounding her arrival to this club. Had people never seen a woman enter a club before , grabbing her clutch and things she slowly slipped away from the car, heading to the destination in front of her. Making her way inside she glanced around, well this club certainly had good taste and style, eyes flicking around sensing all different types of people.
Making her way to the bar she glanced around eyes scanning all the pretty ladies. This night was turning out to be promising after all,a small grin passed her lips. Eyes following a lone woman at a table glancing at the dance floor. Not wanting to waste time Noelle slowly made her way to the table, her fingers slowly brushing across the blonde shoulders. " What is a pretty girl like you sitting all alone for." Her soft french accent making her words sound that much more alluring. Slipping off her jacket she placed it on the chair beside her. Allowing her skin and dress that hugged her every curve to be shown. Noelle watched as the blonde woman blushed and started to stutter as she was talked too. Thoughts of what this night would now bring filled Noelle's mind. Although the night was still young she had no idea what other adventures of the night would hold.

Club Nightfire was one of those places that just reeked of darkness. Reminy didn't tend to go out to clubs much, and when she did, it was generally for a purpose. Tonight wasn't any different; she was hoping to see Cat. They had only interacted once, but Reminy couldn't seem to shake that gorgeous woman from her mind. And, she wasn't completely sure that Cat was aligned with the dark, and was upset with herself for not finding such an important thing to take precedence, but this type of place seemed more her style. Reminy also knew that it was a bit of a hot spot for vampires, so it was almost a safe bet for trying. However, Reminy was definitely not fond of the fact that there was such an intermingling of humans, vampires, and other seemingly predatory supernaturals that it seemed like a hunting ground. She had noticed it from the moment she first walked in, and it put a funny feeling in the pit of her stomach. She hadn't fed on a human in years. There were extenuating circumstances, of course. Lowell had allowed her to feed on him sometimes, because he knew that human blood was more nutritious to vampires, and trusted that she wouldn't hurt him. Reminy always felt bad about doing it, and the guilt stayed with her long after he had died of natural causes, but she was grateful that he trusted her, and knew that she would have never hurt him. And she never had; Reminy was always a woman of her word.
The music was loud, and the atmosphere was a bit hazy, and she slowly made her way to the bar and ordered a drink once she found a gap in the people. It was awfully crowded, and she had never been fond of crowds. She remembered traveling with Noelle, how they had gone to fancy bars during the Prohibition era, and they had always been packed. Noelle found her prey more easily when they were a bit liquored up and lost some inhibition, but even when women were stone sober, Noelle was still quite the lethal charmer. Reminy shook her head, trying to chase away thoughts of her sire. It was difficult for her to think that part of Cat's appeal was her similarity to Noelle, and Reminy forced herself to think that there must've been something more. Cat seemed more vivacious, and less lethal than her sire. She was passionate, from what Reminy could tell; that was a trait they shared, but there was hope for Cat, that she wouldn't be condemned to the darkness like Noelle had always seemed to be, even if that was her chosen alignment.
Reminy had been close to falling into the darkness once before as well, but then she and Noelle parted ways, and she ended up meeting the man that would be her husband. And he and Noelle couldn't have possibly been more different. He was genuinely sweet and kind, and loved her like she was the entire epicenter of his universe. There was no judgment, no ulterior motives, just love and bliss. She had felt both of those things with Noelle, but even the same emotion could be tinged with light or darkness, which changed it completely. Theirs was a darker love than what she had experienced with Lowell... it was more intoxicating, like a drug, and just as dangerous.
Reminy started to make her way through the crowd, drink in hand, and hoped to find a spot that wouldn't be as surrounded by people. Her keen vision allowed her to trace through the people, and then she settled on a booth that was off to the corner, and another that was actually empty next to it. The two women sitting at the occupied booth were having a rather intimate conversation, and Reminy blushed a little; she remembered passion like that all too well. She got closer, and felt a icy chill run through her undead veins. The music was loud, but her hearing was better... that accent, that hair, that perfume... god, some things never changed. But how is she here? What are the odds?
Reminy thought, then approached the table and tapped Noelle on the shoulder, allowing her caress to linger just a moment. Sure enough, the woman she was speaking to was human, likely prey. Reminy looked at the girl with a stone-cold glance that was completely out of her norm, since she was such a kind soul. That girl didn't know it, but Reminy had probably just saved her life. "Bonjour, Noelle," Reminy said, speaking the little bit of French that she knew - she had picked up tidbits in their years together, but her Southern inflection always made it sound a bit odd. Noelle never minded, though. From her memory, the other vampire usually appreciated her attempt. Then, Reminy turned to the other woman and grinned. "Don't mind me, just need to steal her for a second." Reminy knew Noelle was stronger than her, because she was older and her sire, but she gently tugged the other woman away from that table and toward the other, unoccupied, and slightly more private booth. Reminy's eyes were showing a broad spectrum of emotions: confusion, fury, anger, lust, regret... She spoke sharply, unable to help herself. Even though she had entertained the possibility of a reunion, she never thought the day would actually come. "What are you doing here?"[/blockquote] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ OUTFIT: Here!

I want to satisfy The undisclosed desires in your heart [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: B8B8B8; border: #550505 solid 4px; width: 400px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] Whispering softly to the blonde,Noelle could taste the desire from her. It was all to easy, just prety waiting to be plucked. Humans were so easy to taste and touch. Eyes flicking over the blond. Watching the pulse of her body, smelling the blood pumping between her veins. Yes it was just so intoxicating the desire of thrill of it all. It wasn't too long ago that Reminy had been apart of this, where Noelle was showing her the show of feeding from a human. The darkness that Noelle had was something sensual and seductive. She wanted Reminy to share that part of her life, yet they ended up parting ways none the less. She moved on though and found herself enjoying and getting even darker. Reminy though, something about her,had Noelle think maybe the darkness was too much at times. Yet when she left Noelle knew that was the only comfort she could find. Katherine showed her the joys and pleasure of the dark. The profit that could be had with it. So Noelle would share it with others ,staring with the delicious blond panting at her every word.
About to take the blond to a secluded corner,a scent passed her nose, that was impossible. How did her progeny find herself here and why how long had she been there. Then the touch and the words reached her ears,a soft coy smile passing her feature before touching the hand that was touching her. " Bonjour Reminy,I see you haven't forgotten the French I taught you," Unable to stop the grin as Reminy talked to the blond in front of her, always thinking that she could stop her fun. Oh she had missed the innocence of Reminy. It was still refreshing to see the light was still in her. That her darkness was not fully corrupting her, although that meant she would just need to pull Reminy back in with her. To have her remember the fun they had. Letting her fingers gently touch the blonds lips she leaned forward whispering to her softly." Just stay right here I will be back so we can continue our conversation."
Letting herself be dragged by her progeny, she couldn't help but be amused by the assertiveness she was trying to pull with Noelle. Did she truly forget who she was dealing with. That Noelle could just take her then and there and Reminy couldn't stop it. But,Noelle wasn't Katherine she wouldn't flaunt her power so openly in front of Reminy,at least not yet. She wanted to see just how daring she could get. Feeling all of her emotions a dark grin became all but apparent an expression that she hoped Reminy wouldn't have forgotten. " Now Reminy is that anyway to greet an old friend, from the words it sounded like I wasn't missed." Although she knew that was a lie it was fun to tease though. " Now I will forgive the tone and just consider it a moment of shock... As for what I am doing here ,I am here on business love and have heard so much about this little town I figured I wanted too see what this was about." Shock, lust, regret and much more was also in Noelle's mind but she hid it better then the young vampiress in front of her.
It would come with age though, the learning of control and ability to hide her conflicting emotions. " Now the question I am wondering is what brought you here my dear. This doesn't seem like a place that you would be usually prowling.." Her hands slowly running across her cheek, unable to stop the touch of having her own so close. She had missed the touch of her, they were friends, and companions then lovers. Reminy and her had something that couldn't be described and probably never would be. Yet now that she was here, the thoughts could not stop forming in Noelle's mind. Yes this would be fun. " Now why don't you join us and we could sit and talk, maybe have a dance or too. You know I have missed you."

She was a bag of mixed emotions. Although for years she had wondered what had happened to Noelle, she had never entertained the thought of what would happen if their paths crossed again. When Noelle went out West to Vegas, and Reminy East to New York, she thought they'd stay there. Perhaps Noelle would go back to France, her home, or continue to travel the globe as she had done for so many years before temporarily stationing in Atlanta. Reminy admired that the woman didn't really seem to keep a permanent sort of home; she was a free-spirit, and even though there were darker aspects to her maker's personality, she really did have some charming quirks to go along with the not so wonderful ones. Tonight, so far, she was a mix of dark and charming, just like she used to be. The younger vampire was lost in the depths of those pale blue-gray eyes, the smooth purr of her voice, and the fact that she was so, so close after all these years.
It wasn't as if she had forgotten their past; the passion that always seemed to simmer just beneath the surface whenever they were in the same room. Most of the time, when they were together, they couldn't bear to be close to one another but for a few minutes before they could no longer keep their bodies separate. It was like Noelle was poison or an addictive, dangerous drug that she couldn't kick. She was a habit that Reminy couldn't break, and now she was back, and Reminy could feel the darkness creeping into her once more, just from the closeness of their proximity.
As Noelle explained what she was doing in Manuka and what had brought her there, Reminy's ears perked up at the word 'business.' She had no idea what Noelle had been doing for business these days; before, when they were companions, she tended to keep her business life very separate from the one she had with Reminy, which she always guessed had something to do with Noelle's maker, who apparently wasn't a very nice woman at all. Reminy knew that whatever it was likely had a connection to Katharine, and wouldn't be something she'd approve of, or want happening in the middle of Manuka's 'war-zone.' She had been working so hard to put her powers to use for the light side, and hoped for a successful integration between supernaturals and humans, where they could live peacefully together, and she knew that her maker would be completely against this joining, which saddened her, though she'd never let Noelle know about how light she'd gotten. Part of her questioned whether she'd even tell the other woman about Lowell, her late husband, because she couldn't bear Noelle speaking ill of him, when he had been so good to her for a great number of years. Longer than she and Noelle had been together, even. They were married for forty years, which was a considerable amount for a human marriage.
Her curiosity got the better of her. "Business?" Reminy asked, her smile disarming and brilliant, hoping that it would play on Noelle's weakness for her. "You know, I've built quite a base for business. I have my own publishing house now, in New York." There was a chance that Noelle wouldn't tell her the true nature of what she was doing, or nothing at all; even though she was fond of Reminy, she was still secretive.
Soon enough, the French woman changed the subject and stroked Reminy's cheek, making her feel warm and slightly light-headed, because Noelle always had such a profound effect on her, whether she wanted it or not. But, Reminy would honor her question. Noelle likely wouldn't like the answer, but she at least deserved something, and Reminy didn't like telling lies. "I met a woman, recently. Another vampire. Cat, she's called. I... hoped I'd bump into her, here." Reminy said confidently. She wanted her sire to know that she had not only grown as a vampire over the years, but as a woman. And an experienced woman, at that. Noelle might have been one of her very first lovers, and might have taught her many things, but she hadn't been her only, and Reminy had grown a great deal over the years. She wouldn't be led into a web so easily a second time.
Reminy looked back at the blonde woman that Noelle left at the table, and took a speculative guess that given her last remark, along with Reminy's presence, that whatever she had intended to do with that woman was no longer interesting. Noelle would likely put her efforts toward Reminy, who welcomed the challenge, and knew that she wouldn't be falling for the alluring woman's wicked games so easily. "Aren't you worried about your companion, Noelle? She seems quite affronted by your spending such a long moment over here, with me." Reminy grinned teasingly, and arched an eyebrow. Oh yes, two could definitely play this game.

Watching the room Noelle nodded her head,at Remy response to her question. It made Noelle somewhat at ease seeing that her little progeny had not changed much, that she was still the questioning and driven woman she was, when she turned her. Noelle hated many things weak minded people was one of them. Which much to her appeasement. Reminy was anything bit, that woman had a fire in her that always kept Noelle wanting to give her more. To show her that the dark was not always made, that if you just feel a little more of it,it can be one of the most pleasurable and tantalizing things that could ever be done. Although the time to think on those things were for later, right now it was time to enjoy the moment of being in her touch again and see how much they can reconnect. Giving her signature grin and nodded her head. " Yes business,I am looking into some things for Katherine. It looks promising so I am sure that I will find myself very happy here in the near future. " Was she stretching the truth a bit yes but she always did keep things of her work closer to the vest.
Yes Reminy at the moment did not need to know though,as much as Noelle would guess that Remy figure out her keeping the secrets . At the moment it seemed better to slowly break her back into the darkness that Noelle dwelled in,instead of throwing it at her all at once. If Noelle learned anything from her time with Remy it was as much as the darkness thrilled her from time to time it also scared and worried her. Not that Noelle could blame her,not many could handle and thrive in the darkness like she did. To her it was a drug and power that can be controlled. It allowed you a power of people, that would allow you to do things you never thought you could do because you thought it was wrong. Noelle enjoyed the power she had,it allowed her to do good business and make sure other parties were happy with her work. It would take some time but eventually, she would show Remy again how good the dark feels. That the bite of the poison wasn't deadly it just stung a little then melted into a long forgotten pleasure.
Hearing about the New York and publishing house, cause a small smile on her lips. She was happy that Remy seemed to have found something she loved, although most would never be able to tell be her expressions. She knew that Remy would catch the happiness there. Although she was slightly shocked that she had gone to New York ,it was quite a scene change from Atlanta. " Oh I never pictured you going to New York,do you enjoy it there." A tone of curiosity in her words, yes it was nice to know what her progeny was up too.
Although as quickly as her smile was on her face,it went away twice as fast, out of all the things Noelle picture. Remy meeting another female vampire was not her things of possibility. Her hand still stayed touching the other woman, listening to what she was saying about this female vampire named Cat. " Well she must be quite the woman then if she has caught your eyes. You always did have exquisite taste ." It was nice to know that Reminy did not fade away in the background, but Noelle didn't stop her mind from thinking of thoughts of trying to get Reminy back, and of course looking into all she could about the vampire that had caught her eye. Was it jealously that made her do this possibly, but in her mind it was also a sense of things that were hers. Reminy was her child,so it made sense to herself that she would look into anyone that caught her eyes and now it seemed she had a starting point. Yes it did seem like things were starting to become very interesting in this town. Thinking that she had a lot more work to do then she originally planned.
Laughing softly, her french tone slipping in again,as her eyes flicked to the blond woman with a heated gaze and a promise of things to come later, her eyes looked back to the brunette in front of her. " No,she knows a good things when she sees one,she will probably wait all night. Besides you know how I feel about people trying to hard or not hard enough. They should take what they wanted and not be scared." Licking her lips she leaned in closer, her hot breathe teasing her ears. " Now since it seems like Cat is not here. Why don't you join me for a small dance,I promise I will be good. " Her words teasing at the end,if she could be anything but good. Her fingers slowly trailing down her neck onto her side as she moved in front of Remy. Her body humming with the music. " Unless your scared my dear,as your time away from me made you soft." Oh yes this was a game they could play very well, but Noelle always played to win.

It wasn't surprising that Noelle was here on some sort of seedy business for Katherine, but Reminy was slightly bothered by the fact that she wasn't just in Manuka, but had the potential to be causing trouble in Manuka. Reminy had been working hard to align herself with other people who were light-side, and wanted to fight for the humans and their right to leave peacefully with supernaturals. She wasn't blind to the fact that it was nearly unavoidable that humans would find out about their existence eventually, and because of this, she knew that they needed to treat humans fairly, and responsibly. That way, when the information was discovered, they wouldn't feel threatened. However, she knew many supernaturals did not share this view, and her sire was one who didn't. Katherine was even worse than Noelle, so if Noelle was by herself, Reminy could hopefully sway her a little bit and keep her from completing all that she came to accomplish, at the very least. However, the younger woman understood that her sire was incredibly ambitious, and wouldn't be deterred for long. So, she'd just have to work harder. "Will you be staying in town long?" Reminy questioned, wanting to know what kind of timeline she had to work with, and if she should be concerned about Noelle setting up a permanent or semi-permanent place within the city limits.
Such a thing could be dangerous for Reminy, because even though she knew that the French woman was aligned with the dark, she was still intoxicating. Reminy could recall so many good memories, so many nights of passion, and would always hold a place in her heart that was especially for Noelle. The woman made her weak, and she knew that being smart about this, though it seemed like the most logical path, would also be the most difficult. The flicker of jealousy in Noelle's eyes when Reminy mentioned Cat was delicious. The two of them weren't involved, at least, not in the way that Reminy hoped they one day might be, and still Noelle felt like she was losing her. It was delicious, to see that rush of emotion, and to know that the feelings weren't lost completely, or that she had moved on.
Reminy hated herself for being selfish, because as much as she wanted Noelle, she also knew that with her came darkness and danger, so she should leave. But Reminy still wanted the other woman, and wanted Noelle to be jealous; she wanted Noelle to miss her, and love her, and she was so terribly conflicted. However, Reminy was in no mood to talk about Cat, because Noelle would likely just get more jealous, or she'd end up slipping up and telling the other woman that they weren't even romantically involved yet. That would negate all her progress, and ensure that Noelle knew she was just trying to stir up more feelings. From the look in the older vampire's eyes, however, Reminy could practically see that her feelings hadn't faded, no matter how long they had been apart.
She was surprised when Noelle asked her to dance, thinking that she'd probably want to move back to her 'date,' because Noelle did always enjoy a conquest. Yet, her sire seemed to be completely focused on her, which made her feel powerful in ways that she hadn't felt in years. Being wanted by such a magnificent creature as Noelle was no small feat, and even though Reminy knew she was beautiful, she didn't flaunt it, and Noelle's affections were always a huge compliment and testament to the fact that yes, she still had her looks going for her. Immortality was, in some ways, a marvelous thing.
It was almost as if she was lifted up from her seat by magic, and she followed Noelle to the dance floor, succumbing to her soft, enchanting, and seductive touches. The other woman's hands on her body set Reminy on fire from the inside, and the music was slow and rhythmic. They danced, and Reminy gazed into Noelle's eyes, and finally confessed something that she had been holding back all evening, for fear that it would show her weakness. "I've missed you." It was dangerous, this route, but Reminy pressed her body closer to her sire's and threw caution to the wind. She had been lonely for so long, and for one night, she just wanted to feel something again... a spark, a flame... she wanted Noelle.

All Noelle could do was smile softly at the questioned posed to her about staying long, now that was the question. Noelle could answer this so many different ways or be vague like she usually was when certain things arose. With Reminy though it was different, she knew that and so did Katherine. Noelle would usually tell most of the truth to her unless it was something that was more dark then she would have normally liked. Noelle loved the darkness Reminy was more subdued and when they were still together they would clash against how dark they were becoming. Noelle reveled in it,Reminy was a little more apprehensive. But now was not the time to think about the past,Noelle had a future to look forward to and this lovely woman in front of her becoming a part of it again. " Well I only just arrived darling, but I plan to make myself quite comfortable." Yes she he bought a expensive condo and was well on her way to feeling at home so she didn't see any problems in the near future. Katherine was well away of her movements as well, but she also knew better then to press into her progeny's life. Not much was spoken to her about Reminy and that was safer for her. As dark as Reminy knew Noelle to be and cold and calculating and only with her own goals in mind.
Katherine was more dark and twisted, what ever Katherine wanted she pursed and got until it was obtained. So it was safer that Katherine kept and have Noelle her space because Noelle had a darker side then she was even uncomfortable when pushed to far. Katherine brought out the beast in her while Reminy seemed to tame it somewhat,it was still darkness yes but it was more of a collected and practical kind. Noelle by heart was a business woman, making profits and thriving in her brothel was on the top of her list of things to do. That was a goal that would be obtain while she was here. She had already a meeting set with a woman who could help her with that certain venture. Ryanna was a scary woman in her own right, being far more aged then Noelle and slightly younger then Katherine. Ryanna knew how to demand and get the respect she deserved with her power and age. She had brought human trading as an art. Noelle appreciated her style and tactic. Something about holding life in your hands was thrilling, like a good drug you wanted more of. It was intoxicating to Noelle yet scared her as well.
As much as she enjoyed her feedings from humans and shopping for her girls, some of that deep down scared her although she would never admit that out loud. It was something that Reminy would see when they were alone. A softer side that seemed to be brought out by the light that was always around her child. As much as the darkness took Reminy in like a drug, there was some things Noelle couldn't and didn't want to change about Reminy and that was it. Noelle loved her darkness and taking her into the plunge but also enjoyed the sweet innocence that was with her. Now that she was back in her life,it was those feelings never left. That thrill of taking over something new and inciting. Yes there was another woman in her life, but that wouldn't take long to try to change it.
Her powers of persuasion had not changed over the years they were separated,if anything they had grown stronger. Which would be fun for all of those involved with herself in the future. Noelle knew how to get things she wanted and nothing would stop that. So now the game of spider and fly would begin,it was often the dark side that own temptation so it was just a matter of time before that would happen again. There was a reason why the dark was always so seductive and alluring,it was time Noelle reminded Reminy of why it was that way.
Leading her to the dance floor, slowly twirling Reminy to fall against her chest, wrapping her arms around the smaller woman, taking her child's scent and power of how much she had truly grown since they were no longer together. Yes she had become stronger that Noelle could agree to. Hearing her words she leaned down and whispered into her ear. " I have missed you as well my sweet." Eyes flicking to the blond that was looking away, her lips gently kissed her childs neck before taking in her scent and going back to dancing... " You have gotten stronger while we have been apart. I can not wait to see how much you have grown, but since you company seems to be not here, why not join me for the night. For olds time sake."

The dancing was empowering, to be so close to the woman who had given her so many gifts, taught her so much, and had loved her at one time. Reminy knew that Noelle had said she loved her, and sometimes Reminy questioned the capacity of someone who was darker in personality to love, but tried not to. Her time with Noelle had been... special, and she didn't want to tarnish the memories with questions of love when she hadn't experienced it before Noelle. Their love had been a passionate one, burning hot and endless, and lasted for a long time. Perhaps it would have lasted longer if they hadn't gone their separate ways, but time had different plans for everyone, and now they were reunited.
The love Reminy had experienced with her husband, Lowell, was different than what she had known with Noelle. And it wasn't the dynamic of loving a man vs. loving a woman because in her mind, love was all the same, and gender wasn't a factor at all. The love she experienced with Lowell was passionate, yes, but it was a patient love and a kind love. It might not have been as fierce as what she knew with Noelle, but it was strong, and had lasted nearly the man's entire life, as she met him when he was a young man of twenty, brave and ready to go to war to fight for the freedom of his country. Lowell was the kindest man she had ever known, and while she missed him, she was also tired of being lonely, and she knew that he would want her to find happiness. But could she really find happiness with Noelle?
Reminy tried to shut off her brain and continue dancing, enjoying the feel of Noelle's hands on her body in ways that made her melt. The other woman had always been such a fabulous dancer, and the closeness between them was intoxicating. As Reminy gazed into her gorgeous blue-gray eyes, she was caught up in memories of long ago; sleepless nights in one another's embrace, long conversations, adventures. She wondered if Noelle still remembered those day, but guessed that she probably hadn't forgotten. "Do you remember Atlanta?" Reminy asked quietly, as they danced. "All those years ago, when we first met. The first time I saw you, I couldn't look away. Something about a woman driving her own buggy... well, I was impressed." For now, she was putting off her sire's offer to come home with her, and Reminy knew exactly what she meant by such an invitation. Reminy still harbored feelings for the other woman, that was certain, but she wasn't going to allow herself to be easy just because she missed that intimate company, and was caught up in memories of what they'd once shared. So, she decided to share a few of those old memories, and bask in the "good times." Because they had a lot of good times, that was certain.
"I remember the city; going to dance halls, like this one, and sneaking glances at one another from across the table while all the men flirted with you, knowing they wouldn't stand a chance. And we'd always end up leaving together... it was like a game." Reminy purred in Noelle's ear. "All night, I'd know that you'd be mine at the end of it, but I watched them flirting with you, and vice-versa, and I'll be honest, I got jealous. But that only fueled the fire."
For old time's sake had been her request, and Reminy wanted to just say 'yes' and get out of there. She glanced to the woman at the table, and teased Noelle with her presence again. "You'd have to break that woman's heart if you intended to leave with me. Assuming, of course, that I say yes." Noelle liked challenges, and even though most women fell into her lap easily, and even Reminy had succumbed to her charms once without batting an eyelash, this time would have to be different. "I'm going to the bar for a moment; would you like a drink?" She needed air, and time away from her sire's physical presence for a moment to clear her head and make sure that she was making the right decision, either way she went. After Noelle's response, Reminy made her way to the bar and put in her drink order, then looked at the woman who was now talking to the blonde she'd left behind. Reminy wondered what she was saying, but figured she'd find out soon enough. The bartender gave Reminy the drinks, and she made her way back through the crowded dance floor, careful not to spill, and back to Noelle.

Humming softly, the thoughts of Atlanta rushed though her mind how could she not remember Atlanta. When she first met Reminy, she was so pure so innocent and a breathe of something that she had long forgotten. Her fingers slowly going though her child's hair, taking in her scent and just memories of what they had. Yes Atlanta would always be something that she remembered. Her words soft in Reminy's ear her accent stronger then before. " How can I not remember it,it was when I first met one of the woman changed my life. " Her lips gently nipping and kissing her ear. " Something about you drew you too me and forever changed my life,I had to be apart of it and you had to be mine." Was Noelle drawing line, yes was she calming what was hers yes. Even though they were no longer together as loves. Rem was still hers as her child, and so no matter what, how much time has passed between them. Noelle would still have her and her own and no other woman could change that. Oh they could try,but Noelle would make sure they would lose,Noelle wanted her happy. But that didn't mean she wanted her happy with someone else, someone that wasn't her.
Yes the invitation was one that Reminy probably knew and was debating in her mind,it was what they did. Weighing out the pros and cons of what this meant, she did the same thing. Noelle weighed what this would mean as soon as she asked her to join her,but seeing her again how could she not ask it. Reminy needed to be with her tonight,to just remember her. They always hard a spark,it could be felt even more now that they were around each other. Something when they were in the same room,it was hard to deny the feelings that there there. Of things long forgotten and not touched,so here they were right now. Eyes watching the room as they danced,it was like a oil and fire, deadly separate, but when they were together. A deadly force they would make ,but sometimes things needed to be separate in order to grow. Which Noelle understood but that didn't mean she liked it.
Smirking the cold smirk hat she always gave when she knew she won hearing the stories of what happened when they first met. " Yes those dances were the most entertaining. I always knew I had you though, you couldn't stop looking away from me,just like I knew I wanted to be yours... Mmm those men were dogs with no style or chance. You were a thing of beauty something that they never were going to touch," Kissing her neck she smirked knowing that she was pulling her back in,yes those heated glanced from back when their love was still new. It was memories like those Noelle loved. " Oh you were jealous, now that is something different. But I knew you were mine from the moment I saw you."
Eyes flicking to the blond in question,it seemed like men were coming to the table as she was busy with getting to know her child again. A grimace passed her face, seeing men around her ruined the image of the blond. " I think she doing alright for now,so it looks like we can slip away now without any problems... " Eyes glancing back to Reminy with a soft smile, one only used for her. Nodding her head she stepped back slightly to allow her room to head to the bar. " Yes a drink would be nice, you remember what I like right," Licking her lips as her drinks were going to gathered,it would be nice to see if she did remember after all of this time.

Oh, they had so many good memories. It took her back years and years to when she was young again, human again, before her entire life had changed. Originally, she thought that when she became a vampire, she would go into a sort of stasis, and nothing major would change from that point on. She was wrong. She'd taken her first lover in Noelle, and then found what she felt to be true love with the man who became her husband, lost him, and started living life alone.
But even in being alone, Reminy was strong. She managed a successful publishing house, she owned her own home, and she was trying to work on factions of like-minded individuals to build some sort of (well, she didn't want to call it an army - Reminy was very much a pacifist) group to prepare for the war, if there ever was one, officially. However, she was hoping to circumvent the war, too. She didn't like to think of it often, because she knew that when and if it happened, should Noelle stay in Manuka, they'd be on opposing sides. And that saddened her. She'd never want to take up arms against someone she loved, but then again, she knew that life had a purpose bigger than one's smaller ideals.
Reminy loved the way Noelle spoke to her, softly and gently, that accent caressing her every word and sending shivers down Reminy's spine. It was intoxicating, to be so close to a woman who had only inhabited her memories for many years, but Reminy worried about the dangers of the path they were walking. Even if she did want to throw caution to the wind, she wasn't sure what would happen on the other side of it. Every decision had a consequence, and she hadn't always made the best decisions. Part of her wondered what her life would be like if she had turned Lowell, but even though she did enjoy being a vampire, she didn't want to give her beloved husband that darkness. He was such a kind soul, and untainted by tragedy, that she didn't want to take even one bit of his goodness away.
Reminy returned with their drinks; a New Yorker for herself, and a glass of the bar's finest merlot for Noelle. Upon her return, she chuckled a little when Noelle asked if she remembered her drink order. "The finest merlot the bar had to offer. And only because they didn't have any burgundy." Reminy said, then smiled. "As if I would ever forget, Noelle." She handed the Frenchwoman her glass of wine, and took a sip of her own cocktail. Smooth, delicious, and warming as always.
The younger vampire was surprised that Noelle was still paying so much attention to her; before, it had seemed that she was almost business-like, and on a mission, so Reminy gave a cursory glance back to the blonde woman's table and found it surrounded by men. She thought that maybe such an event was the reason why Noelle was paying so close of attention to her, but hoped it was something else. It was an internal struggle, because she was literally torn in half emotionally. One half of her knew that Noelle would seduce her with darkness yet again, and she'd worked so hard to gain her independence. But the other half missed and still loved the woman desperately, and wanted to be in her arms again.
Reminy's mind flicked back to Cat for a moment, and even though progress there had been slow, it had made her burn much in the same way that meeting Noelle and Lowell for the first time had, and she knew there was potential, so she didn't want to burn her bridges. But Noelle was right there, so close. "One drink, and I'll consider leaving with you." Reminy said, but didn't want to trap herself in a corner. The fact that she was started to secede in her decision and go toward Noelle's way, or at least, the way she knew her sire would rather spend the evening, meant that the other woman would only try harder. And she could be very persuasive.
"I don't know what you... expect from our being re-united, Noelle. But I can't just be yours again." She was strong in her belief, and while she was okay with being Noelle's for maybe a night or two, she didn't want to get caught back in the spider's web, even though she had enjoyed her time there, and knew Noelle would never hurt her. She'd just gotten her taste of the light, and didn't want to be pulled back underneath the darkness again. "Don't see this as a rejection," she smiled softly and touched the other woman's hand. "It's not... it's... I've changed. We've changed, and the memories are beautiful, but I don't know if it's possible to just pick up where we left off." If Noelle could show her that she'd changed, and that she wasn't as dark, or could possibly be persuaded to be less dark over time, then Reminy would be willing to reconsider. Unless... oh, there was always a caveat. Reminy tried to push Cat out of her mind and focus on where she was, because there was no guarantee that Cat had even felt the spark, or that she'd see her again. No, this was real. Then, Reminy leaned in and gave Noelle a slow, sweet kiss. "Time will tell, mon amour."

Eyes watching the club,so many people were here,so many victims and promise of work this was a great place to be. She could see why Katherine asked her too come her,as much as she hated her own sire,Katherine did have a smart mind for business and that was something Noelle grew to respect and appreciate. Although at the moment she was more then happy that Katherine was no where near her, knowing that if Katherine came to be,Reminy would see an even darker side of Noelle a side that Noelle would never want to show her. There was a balance between them,as dark as Noelle was,she tried to be less of that around Rem. She would never admit that allowed of course, but Reminy meant more to her then the darkness that resided in her heart. Seeing her again was like a shock to the system, never having thinking she would see her so soon, but at the same time Noelle had a job to down a profit to make and money to gather. So as much as those light cheery thoughts for a moment were in her head, they would be pushed away and long forgotten. She needed to gather woman for her brothel, send them to Vegas and make sure they were trained and ready by her others girls to do their job right.
Coming back to the present though, seeing Reminy head back towards her with a beautiful glass of red. Taking the glass and having a small sip a soft sound of satisfaction escaped her lips. It wasn't a burgundy but it was just as good. " Mmm well thank you, just what I wanted and need to make this night even better." Gently touching her cheek before holding the glass in her hands. Yes the memories of them were all but rushing back into her mind,it warmed her as well as made her feel conflicted as she often did when Reminy was around. " Ah of course you and your New Yorker, I am glad to see your drink choice hasn't changed I would have been disappointed if too much had changed in our time apart."
The music changed it's tempo moving a slow sensual beat that gently washed over Noelle. Closing her eyes listening to the music, getting swept away with things from the past, reminding her of many a nights her and Reminy spent like this. Just watching people, plotting their next feeding or dance, Drinking and enjoying their beauty and watching as others failed to match them. Yes they were in their prime back then, and still were. Now though they had more experience and Noelle planned to use that to every advantage she could. Giving a soft laugh at her own amusing thoughts, she took another small sip of her wine savoring the taste and it went down her cold throat. Hearing about the one drink a sly smirk passed her lips as she looked between the blond that was with her before, and the beauty with her now. " Alright my love, one drink and I will see where this evening can take us."
Although soon a tilt of the head was reached when Reminy made her words about not being hers again. It was cute in a way but did Reminy not understand that no matter how far apart they were or how ever long they stayed away from each other. That they would always be connected and she would always be Noelle's in one way or another. But instead of bring that up she listened to her child and focused on what she wanted to say. A coy smile broke across her face, her think of this as rejection,of course not only a fool out reject one like herself. Leaning down taking the woman's hand in her her,she flipped it over and gentle kissed the pulse point, her tongue slowly running over it before pulling away with a small lick her of her lips. " Still taste as good as I remember, wee." Her accent darker and more full of life.. Having always loved her french when she was with her child. " I know you need time to process this, and you know I will give it to you. But for now come home with me,let us enjoy our night of passion and pleasure. " Words cut off as she felt her own lips begin kissed, not wanting to let tempation go,she slowly slid her hands into the other females hair gently pushing her harder into her own lips as she tasted and sucked on her tongue and kissed her lips. Pulling away for a second with lidded eyes, resting her forehead against the other she spoke softly." Come back with me,and we can finish this discussion in my bed with a great bottle of wine . No expectations just us talking about time passed." Noelle knew that as soon as they got to her bed room no talking would be taking place, but first she had to lure Reminy in without spooking her and she was always good at that.

Things really hadn't changed. There were snippets here and there that felt different. Truth be told, before this night had gotten into its swing, Reminy had felt different. Adjusting to life in a new town where she really intended to build something of a life for herself had caused her to feel more different than she had in years. When she was alive, she was Reminy Barlow, daughter of wealthy parents from good, Southern roots. After they died, she had sought to create a new identity for herself, where she could find her purpose outside of the family name and the tragedy and shame that followed it. Then, she met Noelle had had become a child of the darkness; she was connected to this strong, independent, and enigmatic woman forever. For eternity.
When she moved to the East Coast, she had become the object of a young soldier's affections, and then became his bride and true love. When he died, she felt lost again, like she had when she left her hometown for Atlanta, and thought that devoting herself to a cause, to finding allies for the light side and preparing for the war, would give her purpose again. Settling in the town, purchasing her house, making friends and contacts, that would all help cement her new identity where she didn't belong to anyone but herself, and didn't need to serve any purpose but her own. Now that she was back in the same room as Noelle, in the same town, sharing such a close space, she felt herself revert back to a time that hadn't ever been long forgotten, though it was long ago. Longer than the human lifespan, and longer than she ever thought she'd have to be alive.
And Reminy was pleased to still be alive. And pleased that some things; their chemistry, Noelle's drink preference, the heat she felt whenever the Frenchwoman was near, hadn't faded and hadn't been changed by time. Noelle agreed to her suggestion of 'one drink,' and Reminy fixed her with a brilliant, dazzling smile, then led her by the hand to a secluded, empty booth. Reminy sipped her drink and watched Noelle intently: even though the younger vampire knew the woman wouldn't age, just as she wouldn't age, she didn't expect her to look identical to the day they first met. It took her aback for a moment, and she calmed her inner nerves and rushes of emotion. "So, what do you have planned for a night at your place, anyway?"
Reminy wasn't stupid. She knew exactly what Noelle was hoping for; she could practically feel the desire radiating off the other woman like a palpable force. But, Noelle surprised her by saying that she understood Reminy's need for time to process, and even offered to just relax and talk. They'd have some wine, reminisce... it actually didn't seem so bad. Reminy knew that she probably wouldn't be able to hold herself back if they got anywhere near a bed, however, and was still debating whether or not to say yes.
"We can talk here, can't we? At least, for a little while. Until you get tired of fog machines and club music." If Noelle was truly willing to take things more slowly with her, she'd be willing to take baby steps early on. It was a dangerous game, she knew, testing and toying with the older, more powerful woman, but she had a few advantages in that Noelle had just as strong feelings for her as she did for Noelle. Perhaps even stronger, since Reminy was, in a sense, her creation and a piece of herself.
"Tell me more of what you've been up to during these years gone by. Anything new and exciting? Adventures?" Noelle was a fantastic storyteller, and when they had been together before, Reminy used to love listening to the woman tell story upon story of her glamourous life in Europe, the wild adventures and torrid love affairs she'd gotten tangled in, and the life that came before, although she rarely spoke of her life before being turned even with Reminy, who was one of the few people the elder vampire actually trusted. "I'm sure the years have been far more interesting to you; you've always been such a free-spirit." It was something Reminy admired about Noelle, and she took another drink, waiting for the older woman to speak and, with any luck, oblige her request of subject matter. The moment was comfortable, and less tense than she expected their first meeting after a long time apart (if it ever happened) would be. Noelle was seemingly on her best behavior, and while it put Reminy at ease, she couldn't allow herself to become too comfortable and forget, even for a moment, who this woman really was.

Noelle gave her a a small sly smile that she usually only wore for her, there were so many ways to answer that question. As well as thoughts, but Noelle knew better then to move quickly with Reminy. She was like a good wine, needing to be savored not quickly drank then forgot about. Which is what she would have done with that blonde, yet now something better was in front of her. Reminy was something Noelle wanted always and could never get enough of. But being away from her,had brought Reminy more into the light then Noelle would normally have liked, but she was away from her child so she had no say on what happened. And she knew better then to be like her own sire and demand she stays dark. That was Noelle's own demons she would need to work though at another time. Reminy was something else altogether though, which Noelle loved and hated yet she would never let that show. The feelings for Reminy were deep strong and conflicted if anything else. Reminy was everything good and light about what a vampire could be. To Noelle that was a blessing and curse. She was darkness and devoured those who dared to mess with her. Yet with Reminy part of her wanted,to keep her innocence and then devour it and remind how could being dark can feel. That was for another time though, she would need to start slow in order not to spook. " Well my pet,I figured we could talk over a good bottle of wine and see where the evening takes us,no expectations."
Nodding her head,as the wine ran down her throat leaving out a soft sigh,no matter how good the wine could be here. Something about wine from France, well it just could not be duplicated and Noelle knew she would always miss it until she ventured back home. " Yes of course we can,I have nothing else planned for my evening so it is all open so it speak." Grinning as she set down the glass and glanced around at the moving bodies,or moving dinners as Noelle would call them in a non polite conversation. It was what they were to her,she never would hide that either, just food begging to be taken. But,to act like that now in front of her child, well that didn't have any class. And,Noelle above anything else was a classy lady so she knew better then to make comments like that. The fog slowly pouring out of their machine covering their feet in a soft cloud as well as the dance floor around them. A soft scoff escaping her lips,if they wanted the haunted and scary look. Well Noelle knew what to have that come into play. But,they probably weren't ready to truly see what goes bump in the night.
Picking up the glass again, allowing her fingers to slowly trail up and down the glass, her mind going back to after they had parted ways. Allowing Katherine again to stick her fingers in her child and use her as a puppet ,so Noelle could finish the debut she owed but know that Katherine would never fully let her repay it. Bringing herself back to the present she looked at Reminy with a soft smile and shake of her head. " I went back to work for Katherine,it was like old times to say the least. Katherine always did have a way of making you know where your place was when working for her. But it was adventurous and I did learn more from her then I thought I would. " It had been a blur of work for Noelle she tried all she could to forget the place that Reminy filled after she left. But she would never let Reminy know that,to Katherine and herself it was weakness,it was less dark to allow your heart to feel the things she did for Remy.
" But then after time Katherine allowed me to start my own work,it has been wonderful and I am enjoying it. I also went back to France for a bit,you know I always will have a soft spot for my home." Now that she was here though, everything was slowly swimming to the surface, she wasn't sure what to make of it all but she knew better then to dwell on it. Laughing softly, she took another sip of wine and let out a happy sigh. Yes a free spirit was one thing that Noelle always would be,something that she never wanted anyone to forget. " Yes,that is one thing that will never change.. What about you my pet. How are things in your life since we parted all those years ago,I know you would do something full of adventure and life." She knew the game game of cat and mouse had begun but Noelle never lost and she wasn't going to now,not to the woman that she still loved.

Reminy balked a little at being called 'pet,' but she knew it was just Noelle's way of speaking. The woman was old; older than she, even. Reminy knew that as far as vampires went, she was one of the younger ones, but she felt that she'd still established years of life and wisdom, with independence to boot. Because of that, she was confident in saying that (at least, for now) she was nobody's pet. However, Noelle's words did seem to ring with honesty, and Reminy appreciated that. She supposed that their re-uniting was just as strange to the older woman as it was to Reminy, and taking things slowly was probably for the best. Although a bottle of wine and conversation alone with Noelle, and away from this place that she knew reeked of more predatory vampires did sound enticing, she still wasn't sure. Something in her was telling to to listen to her head instead of her heart and her base impulses that wanted the woman so badly. ”Funny thing, that. I never for a moment thought the years would turn you into a woman of no expectations.” Reminy knew her sire so well that she could tease in this fashion without fearing punishment, but Noelle also knew that she was teasing. They both knew each other so well, and sometimes, they could predict even the words that were about to spring forth from each others' mouths. At least, that's how they had been in the past.
Noelle continued to surprise her by humoring her request to sit and talk there for a while, and Reminy was pleased. She had a bucket of questions that she'd want to ask when and if she ever would re-unite with Noelle, and thought that this was as good a time as any to ask them. But first, she had to start small. It seemed a most sensible place to start with what one had been doing over the years they'd been apart, and she was surprised when Noelle answered. Reminy traced the rim of her glass, and as soon as Katherine's name was mentioned, gritted her teeth. That woman, although she'd never personally met her, was horrible. Noelle had told her stories of how she'd become a vampire, what that woman had done to her sister and her family, and the way she'd treated Noelle like property was despicable in Reminy's opinion. The younger vampire knew that she'd never met Noelle's sire for a reason: Noelle cared enough for her to protect her, and probably insisted that since Reminy was her progeny, she be kept safe and for Noelle alone. Which, Reminy could honestly say she never minded. ”You went back to work for that... for her? Noelle, you're so much better than that, than the horrible things she does,” Reminy said, then placed her hand atop the other woman's. ”You're so much better than that darkness. Because when I look at you, I see thousands of possibilities, and she's keeping you still. Under her thumb. And you don't really want that, do you?”
Noelle spoke of the adventures, and Reminy knew that she did love to travel, and surely Katherine had tons of resources and money to spare, so Noelle likely was living in the luxurious means that she enjoyed, but Reminy couldn't understand how that could make a person happier than having a clean conscience and an honest living. The years she'd spent married to Lowell were simple, as he didn't have much money, and any luxuries they got were when she tapped her family trust fund and inheritance money to do nice things for them. Yet, those years with her husband had been some of the happiest of her life. She'd never needed riches, just happiness, love, and a partnership with someone who loved her just as much as they respected her. And now, she had plenty of money built from her own means: the publishing house was quite successful. ”At least she put you on a longer leash,” Reminy said, venom evident in her words. But, she changed the topic for a moment, hoping that Noelle would forgive her strong words. ”Did you enjoy going back to France, mon amour?” Reminy had loved her time in France, and she'd wanted to go back... maybe even to find Noelle, as she knew all her old haunts, but hadn't ever had the time.
Then, she knew it was coming, but the conversation switched to her. To what she had been up to over the past years. Reminy hesitated to tell her about Lowell, because she knew that Noelle would never really understand how she'd managed to fall in love with a human. Also, the older woman had a jealous streak that she hadn't ever seen rivaled by any other person, human or otherwise, in her lifetime. Reminy decided it was just best to stick to the basics. ”Actually... I've been very happy. But not only happy, successful,” Reminy began. ”I worked as a journalist on the East Coast for a while, moved to New York City, and got into publishing. Then, I used some of my family's money to start my own publishing house. It's quite popular; we published 100,000 titles last year.” Reminy smiled, feeling the pride from the fruits of her labor. ”I have someone else running it for me now, so I could live the quiet life here. But, other than the business, I've gotten involved with several charities, benefits: you know, boring old rich people things.” Reminy took a sip from her glass and kept her eyes on her sire. ”You're probably horribly displeased.”
Noelle had taught her to live a life of adventure, and Reminy felt that she had done that, just not in the way Noelle probably would have wanted. She'd lived a fulfilling life for anyone, even someone who lived forever, and she knew her story was far from over. Perhaps the adventures had just begun.

Noelle offered a teasing smile at Reminy remark, yes they knew each other well, they had a sense of humor that others might not understand but they did. It came from spending years with each other, seeing one another at their greatest moments of strength and of weakness. So being able to tease one another like this was nothing new,in fact it made Noelle feel happy if she ever would admit that out loud that she was able to be like this with Reminy,to have it be like nothing had changed between them. Yes despite their teasing and jokes, time had changed they had spent time apart and each of them had grown different because of it. Some of it for the better, some of it well it was a lot darker then Noelle would ever share with Reminy. For now Noelle would smile at laugh, enjoy the moments she had with her child. Then we time came for them to part, she would work though everything else that had changed when all was said and done. Taking a sip of her wine she gave her a teasing grin." I am glad you still know me so well,I was going to worry and think you had forgetting the simplest things about me." Her tone teasing and coy yes it was good to be back with her, more then she would ever be able to admit.
Her eyes flashing for a moment, showing slight anger at her tone, she knew that Katherine never rubbed Reminy the right way. Noelle was a kitten compared to Kathering and there was no reason to try and pretend it wasn't true. Yet Reminy was still young, she was allowed freedom from Noelle that she herself never was allowed from Katherine. Katherine made it clear that Noelle was a debut to be paid for saving her sister. Even though they had long sense passed, that debut was still held over her head. Katherine was cold and calculating and wanting everything that was hers to always be hers and have it be known that it was hers. Hearing Reminy with such passion and the touch of her skin against her own. she slowly gave it a soft pat and sighed softly. " Reminy.Katherine is darker then even myself she takes joy and crushes it with a smile on her face. As much as I hate to say this, you are still young in vampires years and have much more to learn. I gave you freedom when you were old enough for control.I allowed you to enjoy life which was all I ever wanted for you. Katherine sees me as a debut that I still need to pay off for saving my sister all those years ago. It is not a matter of me wanting to stay dark, more of I don't have the option and she would do anything to make sure I stay in her grasp, even coming here to make sure it is being done. "
Katherine was everything Noelle was but darker, she had nothing to pull her to the light, she enjoyed the pain she caused and wanted nothing more then to cause more for it. Noelle wanted Katherine no where near this city,so she would be her lap dog if it meant that Reminy stayed away from her clutches and to be used as a ploy in Katherine's sick games. " I know you want more from me Reminy, and I have always loved that about you.. But Katherine has her own games to play, and I need to still play the game if I want to win in the end." Yes a leash was exactly what it was and Noelle hated it,because the leash had a high price she wasn't sure how much more she would need to pay but she would do it. As long as Reminy was safe and the light she had would never go out. Or at least all the way out,Noelle would always have darkness inside of her that was not going to chance to much time as passed to have her even think of going to the light. But,that didn't mean she wanted Reminy to follow or go as dark as she was when they first met. But she knew in order for things to not go to hell that meant staying on Katherine's leash. " Oh France was wonderful.I love going home. I went to the cafe's I use to go to as a little girl.. It was a wonderful time I would love to show you a side of France you have yet too see. "
Noelle was happy to hear that Reminy was enjoying life and made one for herself, that was all she had ever wanted for her. As much she enjoyed the seduction and the sensual side of the darkness. Reminy's light was just as captivating sometimes,it made Noelle want to pull her back to her side all the more. To show her not all the dark was bad, that it had a sensual side that Rem did not need to fear like she use to. That would take time though, too much time was spent apart, they would need to start again and Noelle was fine with that, they did have all the time in world. " That is great my pet. I am glad things are going so well for you. No not disappointed I knew you had a brain I am happy that you get too use it... confused on to why you offer so much to humans and the like but not disappointed I know your hard work made you able too do it. But I do think you are better then wasting money on things for people weaker then us,and sometimes no better then food." Noelle would never be disappointed in her child, she would not understand why she would give so much to lesser beings only for food. But she was happy that she made a life for herself when they were apart. It was all she could have hoped for,the only thing now was where did they go from here. Finishing her wine, slowly setting the glass aside she looked around the back to Reminy. " Shall we have one more drink ,or would care for a more comfortable relaxed setting."

The more time Reminy spent with the Frenchwoman, the more dangerous things got. There was a false sense of security, being so close to what she had considered to be home for such a long time. With Noelle, she was comfortable, and had been comfortable and loved for a number of years. It was different than the love she'd known with Lowell, but it didn't lack in comfort or in making her feel special. Noelle always had a way about her that made her feel like the most beautiful, precious woman in the room, and like she was the only one around. Reminy supposed that this was how Noelle had so much luck with women, and in seducing them. Not to mention, she was staggeringly beautiful, which couldn't have hurt her attempts.
Back in Atlanta, when they first met, it had been her air of confidence that had first attracted Reminy. Then, it was her eyes: a lovely, gunmetal gray that was laced perfectly with different shades of blue and added mystery to the raven-haired woman. The way she walked and carried herself reminded Reminy of proper ladies, noblewomen, and was enchanting. Reminy had always admired the Southern belles, and had been a bit of one herself, but Noelle's European flair was intoxicating, and the accent had nearly melted her when first they spoke. Before Noelle, Reminy hadn't been able to gauge much of an attraction to women before she had met the Frenchwoman. She'd known of her attraction to men, but it lacked in passion and was really only based on aesthetic appeal, since she knew that one day, she would likely take a husband. Reminy did love men, but her ideals of romance were filtered heavily by the times and the fact that she knew she'd be courted by a number of men, and she'd have to choose the “proper” choice for her family, not necessarily the one she loved. Her mother had encouraged her to find love, like she had found with Reminy's father, but sometimes, it was best to make a marriage based on factors that weren't as fleeting as passion. Her father had told her that one day, looks would fade, and it was important to find someone she could talk to. Which made sense, but Reminy yearned to feel the burning pull toward another person, and while she'd had crushes on men in her town, she hadn't felt anything substantial until Noelle came along and flipped her entire world on its axis.
Their finding each other again had been slightly kismet, and not entirely unlike when they'd first seen one another. Reminy felt the same pull, the same desire, but this time, she had known another kind of love, and wasn't going in blind. Now, Noelle wasn't as much of a mystery to her, which made her more of a challenge and more of a risk all the same.
There was a lot of risk for Noelle, too, apparently, and Reminy listened when she spoke about Katherine, and almost like she was defending that horrible woman. ”I know very well how dark she is. I wish you wouldn't be part of any of it. I wish you'd be with me...” Reminy's words were true, because as much as she tried to consider having other romances, there was something to be said about fate leading you where you belonged. And if fate was going to reconnect them after all these years, after Lowell's death, when she was very much alone and missing the other woman, perhaps there was a reason for it. ”But, you have to do your work, I suppose.” It was a pragmatic approach that she knew she had to take, because Noelle was stubborn and stuck in her ways, and probably was still doing what she thought to be right.
”I'd rather not waste the evening by talking about unpleasant subjects, though,” Reminy said, offering Noelle a little smile to let the other woman know that she wasn't put off or angry with her for doing what she thought was right, even if it was disconcerting to Reminy. This woman that she still loved took part in a darkness that she never understood, even when she had gotten close to it before. Now, it made no sense. After loving a human, and seeing what they were truly capable of, after losing her family, she loved humans. Reminy might have not wanted to be close to them, because she knew they didn't live forever, and she couldn't fathom the thought of caring for a mortal being only to outlive them and watch them wither and die again, as her late husband had.
Upon her request, they went back to a happier subject. France. Reminy sipped her drink and smiled at Noelle when she talked about visiting her favorite places, and places she remembered from many years ago. ”Perhaps one day you'll take me back there again, with you.” It was a suggestion, and Reminy almost laughed at herself for making assumptions that Noelle would want her around for such a long time. Perhaps this meeting would be a short one: a chance to rekindle old passions before they had to part ways again. Not everything was permanent, after all.
When she spoke about her own business, she wasn't surprised to hear that Noelle was displeased about what she'd been doing. At least she wasn't unpleasant about it, and instead congratulated Reminy in her own way about establishing her own business. When the money aspect came into play, Reminy countered with a strong statement. ”Money doesn't mean to me what it does to some, and perhaps to you, humans are less fortunate than we are. I see what I do as a way to help them thrive.” Reminy knew what she did was the proper thing to do. Humans and supernaturals held value to her, which was why she had championed the idea of them living peacefully together, as a singular society where nobody harmed anyone else, and if they did so, it was righted by the law. In a perfect world, everyone would get along, but she knew that such Utopian societies never worked. Like Communism: it was a good idea, but people ruined it. Minds that warped the original meaning were generally the cause of great ideas becoming failures, not humans as dark-side supernaturals tended to think.
Reminy knew that Noelle still shared a thought process with other minds that she held no respect for: great minds in the supernatural community that, in her opinion, were backwards in their thoughts. Perhaps it was due to their age, or their concern for food sources dying out if they weren't allowed to hunt freely, or perhaps it stemmed from a desire to keep killing mindlessly, with little fear of any real consequence. Reminy hadn't been brave enough to ask what Noelle's reasons for her thoughts truly were, but she supposed they had something to do with her strange loyalty to Katherine, the miserable shrew. However, despite their difference, Reminy couldn't stop loving Noelle, so when the dark-haired woman asked again if she'd come back to her place, Reminy downed her drink in one fell swoop, looked at Noelle with a strong looked that was filled with desire, and spoke boldly. ”I think it's time we changed location,” Reminy stood, and began to make her way through the crowd until she was all the way out of the club, leaving Noelle with the tab, knowing that she'd pick it up without a second thought, and also knowing that she'd be hot on her heels sooner rather than later. Noelle had always been quick about getting what she wanted, and maybe Reminy was keeping her from a snack by saying yes. As Reminy stood outside, the cool air hit her senses, and she looked up at the night sky. Even though Manuka was a city, she was pleased that you could almost always see the stars: the skies were that clear. And in that moment, she realized that right or wrong, she had made her decision. And that night was about to become very interesting.
