Strangely, Sunny felt at peace for once. Even if it lasted for a moment, her heart would remember later. The times that she could actually laugh and believe she was human. The warming moments she led herself to believe would last for a long time. A time, she wished that she wasn't pretending, that she wished true. To be human, along with Shin Woo. Sun Hye laughed humorlessly to herself. How naive she was. Still is. Her mind raced to find places that Shin would be in, her heart longed for the hugs he gave. Blowing out air into the sky. The sun shone nice and bright, her favorite time of day. Where no darkness could hide anything. Even though, she hated the dark with a passion, she searched out in the night for Shin because he knew that would be where she would hesitate and those moments she debated whether or not to go out, he could easily evade the city. Sunny preyed that he stayed put. All she needed was a good bye from him. To tell he that he no longer wanted to be friends. That was all. Was that so difficult? She tightened her grip on the straps that held her guitar. It was what she played more often now than her gayageum. That thing is pretty heavy to carry around. Although, she may be a bit small, Sunny was pretty strong. All too soon, the moment passed and the crushing reality that she was alone pressed down on her again.
Out of her pocket, she pulled out her phone and decided to look for a peaceful place to sit and play. It wasn't like she was really wanted to but it kept her fingers busy. Looking at the map app that she pulled up on her phone she was close to where she wanted to be.
Soon, she was at the Meadows of Manuka, it was very pretty with it's spacious greenery and lovely budding flowers. The spring air did her some good. She took a deep breath and ventured on to find a place she could sit. Upon finding a spot, which Sunny thought was very secluded to her tastes. She sat down and opened her case to pull out bother her music book and guitar. Opening her notebook to recent song she's trying to compose. Composing isn't a really easy for her but she's learning. Then tuned her guitar, smiling, happy with the way it sounded she proceeded to play her song and started to sing in Korean.
Geurel geomnida ijeul geomnida oneulbuteo nan {I will forget you.. starting from today} Geudaeran saram moreuneum geobnida hanbeondo bon jeok eomneun geobnida {I don’t know you. I have never seen you} Gireul geotdagado seuchin jeok eomneun {We never even walked pass each other} Gwaenchanseumnida ijeosseumnida {I’m okay. I forgot everything} Bappeun ilsange haengbokhajyo {I’m happy with my busy life} Geunsahae boineun saramdo mannago {I’ve met a great person too} Sarangi da geureochyo {Love is always like this}
That's for you, Shin. Sun Hye sighed and looked at the ground. Her heart sinking with the horrible realization that she might not ever find Shin but it'll eventually get better. She's here now in America and things can happen. Working find Shin was everything for the past who knows how long, it consumed Sunny and made her forget that she has a life too. Why must he run away like that? Does he not know my personality? We've lived together for awhile. Does all that time they spent together mean nothing to Shin? Thoughts like that float through her mind as she strummed random chords. Losing her train of thought she decided to play the chorus to Paint it Black by the Rolling Stones. It was one of the only songs she liked and was happy to learn. After she was finished, she clapped to herself with a goofy grin on her face.

Not to say that she was depressed all her life or anything. She was in a weird middle where she couldn’t call it anything. Not numb. No. Just going through the every day movements and finding moments of every emotion. Just normal. She had always felt normal, which was ironic because the model knew the last thing she was, was normal. Normal people weren’t followed around by the media at a constant pace. Normal people were actually nice every once in a while. They weren’t so heavily guarded. For her, it was the only way she was able to survive in this world. Letting people get close. It was a no go. It annoyed her that many people said they were guarded and didn’t trust anyone. Yet, there they were, letting all these people close to them. Kimberly had a total of three people she found herself close with. Three. She supposed that didn’t include her parents, but that was different. They grew up with her.
See what letting people close to her gained. Kimberly, who once had just had a very neutral feeling on her emotions, was now in pain. It wasn’t Kale’s fault. She kept telling herself that. She wanted to blame him for dating someone else, but everyone knew that it was Kimberly who had been pushing him away from the dating world so that he wasn’t attacked by the paparazzi. The media gave the worse out of people. Kale had to be the nicest guy she knew. She didn’t want the press corrupting his southern gentleman good-natured soul. The thought of it broke her own heart. The sacrifice was watching him run off with Talia. Another model. Stupid bitch. Of all the people, why her? Kimberly didn’t like her to begin with, but she never felt like she hated someone so much. It was probably the werewolf side of her though. Hating the bloodsucker. Hating with the rage of an animal. Although that animal had gotten her in trouble. Kimberly touched her burnt arm. She accidently went after Kale last full moon, and he burned her. She had no idea that he was a firetamer. It made sense with all the heat he was radiating all the time. Still. She did not see that coming.
So she thought a walk out here might calm her down. Part of her doubted it. Too much in her life to be able to settle. If she saw anyone, she was likely to snap and not show any mercy. She was not a nice person. Jealousy and guarded souls made her just automatically everyone’s enemy. For the moment, it looked deserted. She preferred it that way. Part of her also wanted to call one of her very few friends, but that woman was also dealing with a lot. Kimberly felt like being alone was the best solution. What else was she going to do without driving herself absolutely crazy? She took heavy steps, feeling her flats squish the ground. Spring time brought a lot of rain up in Maine. It was sunny now, but- wait. What was that? Kimberly stopped and let her werewolf senses kick in, listening to what was around her. Was that… a guitar? There was singing that went along with it, but Kimberly didn’t recognize the song. Nor did she recognize the language. It wasn’t as if she was fluent in anything else besides English.
She wasn’t alone. Part of her wanted to find out and start up a friendly conversation just to get her mind off of things, but Kimberly didn’t start friendly conversations. Whatever she said was bitchy and degrading. At this point, she felt it was practically habit. On top of the habit she formed magically, she wasn’t feeling all too good. She didn’t feel like putting a bright smile on her face and skipping around the meadow like some school girl. She was angry. The partier knew a bottle would suite her better than this walk she was on, but it was too late to turn back now. Perhaps when she returned, she’d go out to a club and get some of this bad energy off of her.
It didn’t take her long to find the source though. A smarter woman might have turned back then and there to keep from causing trouble, but she always had something to say. Seeing the girl who was singing, Kimberly saw it wasn’t who she was expecting. She also had this… happy look on her face. It annoyed her. The song was in a sad tone, but seeing her now, she had a grin on her face. It irked her. ”Quite a grin for a sad song.” She said not very pleasantly, crossing her arms. ”Why are you out here? You can’t do all that at your place?” As if it was all her fault.
