He was part of a large pack in Yellowstone, his father as the alpha. They roamed the entire park, hunting carefully so they could stay undetected within the fences of the park. Asher never questioned it, and his father never told him why. His first winter was his hardest, and the pack would live in caves, and huddle around Asher to keep the tiny child warm and safe. Hunters would collect food and borders would be patrolled. Spring came after many cold months and Asher was taken outside into the forest for the first time. He was birthed in the beginning of winter. Spring turned to summer, summer to fall, fall to winter, and winter to spring. Asher started learning how to talk, and walk, and the pack would be entertained for hours on end just watching the little pup learn. By three years old, he could read, and was learning how to write. Scouts of the pack would pass as visitors to the park, and leave during hours to gather stuff necessary to teach Asher what he needed to learn, and sneak back in during the night. But when Asher was eight, tragedy struck. A small group of hunters had heard of the pack living in Yellowstone, and they came as "visitors". Asher's father heard of the hunters being in the park and was forced to move the pack, but not before the hunters had found them. It was a few days after the full moon, and the pack was pretty much defenseless. They have never had to fight hunters in human form before. And many of the pack died. Including Asher's father. His mother took the child and fled with the few survivors of the pack left. And they hiked out of Yellowstone. They were no longer much of a pack. Just a child, a mother, and two warriors. Survivors of a pack that had once been seventy odd members strong. Asher wasn't old enough to understand death yet, but he did understand the rest of the pack were gone, and they weren't coming back. The hunters had never lost a hunt before, and tracked the little band of four across the nation as they fled, their only priority to protect the future alpha. Asher. It was tradition in their pack, that the alpha's first born son was to become the next alpha. It wasn't long before the pack was tracked down to Austin, Texas, where one warrior was shot and killed as he snarled at the rest of them. His dying words were to get Asher away from Texas, to keep him safe, before a bullet collided with the back of the warrior's head. The surviving warrior, Asher, and his mother, kept running. Kept hiding. But no matter where they went, the hunters found them. Then came Maine. They were able to hide in the small state, until the hunters cornered them on the beach. Asher's mother was shot dead right there. The warrior took Asher and fled into the town, where he knew the hunters would not follow immediately. Since then, the warrior has trained Asher to be an alpha, how to fight and handle every situation that could be thrown at him. He has made the warrior his beta, his right hand man, his most trusted pack mate. Asher still visits his mother's grave on the beach, though it is not marked, he knows exactly where it is. And though he finds it silly, he goes there often to talk to his mother. He misses her very much. |

The young male had graduated high school early, slept with his teacher, got her pregnant, and is now set to marry her. He was almost whiplashed by all of it. It had also dawned on him that at the moment, he wasn't able to provide for a family. So here he was, wandering through the local university. He had already enrolled here, and was accepted in for medical studies, to be a doctor like his father. As he walked around, however, his mind kept going back to Jade and the baby. What gender would it be? A boy? A girl? What would they name it? Would he be a good dad? Questions thundered in his mind and he didn't know how to turn it off. He ran a hand through his hair, sighing softly. He still couldn't believe he was going to be a dad... He was happy, very happy, but also scared... Part of him wanted this baby, to be a dad and experience it. But another part was terrified. He closed his eyes, rubbing his temples, and sat on a nearby bench.
It was then he texted Jade, wanting to see how she was. He was worried about her, to be honest. He wanted her to be okay, to be comfortable and happy. He scrubbed his face with a sigh and rested there for a moment, thinking to himself before heading through the campus again and finding himself in a bright clearing with trees and only a billion flowers. He smiled as he saw a rose and it immediately made him think of Jade. He texted her again, telling her to come to the college. He stayed near the garden, looking at all the beautiful flowers with a small smile. This was where he was going to college. Study medicine. Be a surgeon like his dad. He couldn't wait to get his future started.
