Damien is easy to get along with. He's terribly shy towards the opposite sex which his sisters find since he spends most of his time surrounded by them. He's quite the flirt but is totally oblivious to the fact that he's dong it. He's very protective of the small family he has left. After their mother died the two Day children were quite broken, for they had loved her very much. It was then that their father got out of control with his drinking and wound up hitting Mira and Damien took an oath to protect her. Dame is a total sweetheart, he cares for others more than himself.

He's a hardworking man, having plans in high school to go off to be a marine after he graduated. But it all changed after he was changed. He became somewhat withdrawn and quiet. He fears that if someone were to find out about what he is that something bad will happen to his sisters. Now that he's joined them he's very aware of the supernatural beings around him. As well as the war going on between good and evil, and on this he chooses not to associate himself with.

Damien is more or less the brains of the Day trio. He's the one who does things the smart way, which keeps them out of trouble most of the time.He loves music now that he's no longer interested in joining the service. He studies music theory at the university. So overall he's a pretty cool guy although he does have his own dark side. He tends to harbor grudges and they don't fade easily.

In the small town of Dickinson, South Dakota a young city girl named Hayley Ray met a country boy named Anthony Day. At first, he couldn’t stand her guts, seeing as he had the perception that everyone who’d come from a big city would bring only bad things. Hayley and her mother had come all the way from New York City, to live a quiet life in the country. Hayley’s father had been abusive and seeing no other way out she and her mother fled. But after she wrote a biography in English, everything changed. She hadn’t thought the teacher would choose her to read her paper aloud but she had. Standing there in front of a class who thought so badly of her she read the words that described her life. From the time she was born to her father’s abusiveness and till now and the start of her new life here. The classroom had become quiet, and the feelings of regret and sympathy hung heavy in the air. After that, everyone weren’t so hard on her and her mother. And she even gained some friends but what was best was the relationship that formed between her and a certain wrangler. Dickinson’s own Anthony Day. They were high school sweethearts and it eventually turned more serious after he proposed during their senior year graduation.

The two of them attended Dickinson University, their love furthered and during their junior year, they were wed. After graduating they moved onto the Day, family ranch that was given to Anthony after his father died from a heart attack. They lived for a five years happily running their farm. Hayley was a big help with the horses, riding had become her passion since she’d met her husband. But her help was cut back on when she found out she was pregnant with their first child. Nine months later a dark haired baby girl named Mira Katherine Day was born. After she was born, Hayley discovered that she was stricken with cervical cancer, a disease that threatened her health and the continuation of the Day bloodline. Fearing the worst Anthony begged his wife to get a hysterectomy but she refused, taking chemotherapy instead. Four years after being diagnosed Hayley was again pregnant, something that she and her husband thought could never happen again. It was then that Anthony started drinking. He was watching his wife, the woman he loved dying before his eyes. Yet she wouldn’t get rid of the thing that was damning her. Anthony hated the child that was growing within her.

Finally, the day arrived where the newest addition of the Day family would be here. August eleventh. Instead of accompanying his wife to the hospital, Anthony stayed at home with his daughter, the child he cared about. Hayley and her mother entered the Hospital that foggy morning and soon Damien Alexander Day was brought into this world. The doctors had feared the worst throughout the entire pregnancy that it was either the mother or the child that would not survive. But luckily both survived and after making sure both mother and son were taken care of, they were sent home. The five year-old Mira took to her grey eyed brother as soon as she’d set her eyes on him. The only one who hadn’t fallen for him was the man that he would call father. Anthony resented the newborn, not wanting to have anything to do with him. His drinking got worse after that and he had to hire more ranch hands to help. As he grew, Damien led a normal life, never once questioning why his father was so cold to him, for he already knew. He could tell, feeling it almost instantly as soon as he was old enough to tell. But then the day came that shattered the entire Day family. Hayley’s immune system couldn’t go on anymore and she passed away on a warm August evening. After a day’s worth of celebrating and fun…Damien’s fourteenth birthday.

After his mother’s passing his father’s hate grew, worse and so did his drinking birthday. Mira tried her best to keep her younger brother from falling apart. He felt as if his mother’s death was truly his fault. He became silent a ghost of his formal self. Only talking when Mira or one of his friends asked him something, never of his own accord. It was in these dark times that he decided he’d become a marine. Sacrificing the life, he was given to save many others. It seemed only fair for him to honor the life his mother had died for. It seemed like a foolish idea to those who knew him well. For his true passion was music. Bu the cocky music loving teen was no longer living within him. He’d stowed his guitar away and replaced it with a uniform. But even those dreams were sated upon a day in October. He’d been outside that night herding the rest of the cows within their fence, when he heard the horses going crazy. Closing the fence he ran to the barn to see a creature he’d never thought he’d see here. It snarled angrily at him as if he’d crossed upon its territory. His first thought was to run but he couldn’t he was glued there to the spot the horses still going crazy as it neared him. The wolf attacked biting onto his arm but Damien managed to kick the thing away. But just as he thought, he’d gotten away the animal attacked again and he passed out. Mira found him the next morning and helped him clean himself up. He kept what happened to himself, not wanting to scare her away from visiting her horses.

It was after that, that he discovered something had happened to him. He could hear better and his vision was sharper. He’d gotten stronger than he usually was. All of his senses were somehow better. Damien put it off, thinking his body was still hyped up on adrenaline from when he was attacked. One night Anthony came home drunker than usual and Mira was sleeping silently at the table. She’d been looking over the papers for the horses that were set to arrive on the ranch and had fallen asleep. Damien was up in his room reading on the internet, trying to figure out if there was something wrong with him. It’d been quiet until a scream vibrated through the house. Upon instinct he didn’t knew he had, he all but flew down the stairs. Running into the kitchen he saw Mira on the floor at the feet of the man she called father. Anger flared inside of him as he charged the man. Anthony yelled at his son calling him every name in the book as he delivered an uppercut into Damien’s abdomen. The boy cried out in pain but grabbed his father’s arm and threw him through the door he’d just come through. He could feel a fire like pain spreading through his body. Running out the door way he growled at the older man.

As he jumped off the porch he roared, he just wanted to be out of this skin. He followed his staggering father to the dark part of the ranch where they kept all of the broken down machinery. Climbing it, Damien saw the world through new eyes. His father stumbled leaning against a tractor and took another sip of the bottle of liquor in his hands. Jumping down the teenager felt white hot pain shoot through him as his body shifted into a four legged creature. He snarled, growling at the scared man before him. Just as the man opened his mouth, the wolf attacked, tearing the man apart piece by piece. Then he knew. He knew what he was. When he woke up the next morning, he was back in his bed with Mira standing over him in tears. She told him that their father had been killed by some beast. But Damien knew. He just couldn’t bring himself to tell her. They buried their father a few weeks later and were stuck with the ranch. It was then that their father’s brother offered to take it off their hands, assuring them that they’d still get a cut out of the money that it made. They took it, and left. Moving far away as possible ending up in Manuka.

After another year of high school, he graduated and entered college. By then he’d told Mira about him being a werewolf but not about killing their father. She’d come to terms with it but ending up turning into the over protective woman she is today. He on the other hand became a little bit more talkative and eventually opened to other people, taking a shy to the opposite sex. Mostly because his sister smothered him with talk of women and sex entirely too often for his liking, which ended up making the poor man all flustered and whatnot. While out one night he met a dark haired young woman named Carmen, she was exactly like his older sister. Feminine, feisty, and protective. She eventually met Mira and then one day Carmen just stopped leaving, finding herself a part of the small Day family, making their duo a trio. It was after Carmen became a Day that she revealed that she was immortal, giving Dame a reason to tell her what he was. Werewolf. She also told him that there were people after her but she never said who but from the terrified look in her eye he vowed to do all in his power to protect her, protect the both of his sisters.
